We exist to cultivate a culture of collectivity and develop rhythms of mutual aid within anti-racist and queer affirming frameworks. 

Chroma supports its diverse community through intersectional coalition building and the free sharing of resources. Mutual Aid is provided through internal support systems to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the community. If you specifically need financial assistance for the cost of groceries or medical care and are in the Wheaton area, we have a limited budget that can be accessed no questions asked. By learning our histories, sharing our stories, and engaging in current events, we empower the leaders of today with skills and knowledge to live compassionately. Chroma hosts in-person lectures and discussions, alongside book clubs, and field trips to local museums and historical sites. We also respond to the needs of the community by engaging in political lobbying, Migra Watch / rapid response, and direct action. To get involved, reach out to us.

Social gatherings and community events allow us to know and love one another better. We host weekly community nights, where we typically hang out, watch a movie, or do homework together. We also hold an open-mic event at least twice a year, where members share art, poetry, compositions, etc. See more here.
